– Skilled at creating submission procedures and distribution lists for trade, GC, and the architect/owner using Procore.
– Creates and maintains detailed structural steel drawings and models for large, complex structures such as stadiums, bridges, and hospitals.
– Manages the distribution and tracking of all structural steel detailing documents.
– Assists with the electronic posting and updating of changes to structural steel documents.
– Aids Project Managers (PMs) with the preparation and finalization of data related to structural steel components.
– Provides detailed material take-off services and accurate estimations for structural steel components.
– Offers BIM consultation and coordination services to ensure seamless integration and management of structural steel detailing within the overall project.
– Specializes in miscellaneous steel detailing including grating, stairs, handrails, ladders, girts, canopies, and gates, ensuring all elements are accurately detailed and integrated.
– Develops and maintains comprehensive project logs specifically for structural steel detailing to track progress and document changes.
– Creates work scopes for various bid packages.
– Creates meeting minutes for the scope review meetings.
– Actively takes part in meetings for scope reviews.
– Recognizes documents that are a part of contracts and can describe how Trades are legally required to comply with their demands.
– Aids in the creation and distribution of bid materials.
– Uploads documents using iBidPro or a comparable program (if utilized).
– Aids in creating documents like “Recommendation to award” (RTAs).
– Aids in the opening and closing of bids (Bid Levelling).
– Takes part in the buy-out procedure.
– Incorporates relevant scope items into scopes of work documents to show understanding of the building phase and timing.
– Responds to and controls the pre-bid RFI distribution.
– Exhibits a basic understanding of the change management process, from the initial commencement of a change to the issue of a subcontract change order.
– Handles change orders for subcontractors. (in scope, out of scope, budget transfers, allowances, T&M modifications, and back charges)
– Creates standard reports and documentation for change management.
– Sends out Request for Quotations (RFQs) to the trade contractors and monitors their responses to any queries
– Examines trade contractor quotes for accuracy and compliance with project pricing (unit prices, markup guidelines, etc.), and works with trades to resolve minor quantity and pricing issues.
– Assists in generating and submitting Owner Change Orders for processing
– Keeps tabs on the project’s expenses and delivers updated information for cost report meetings
– Exhibits understanding of general conditions and requirements (safety, closeout, etc.), as well as making it possible for the contractor to be paid consistently over the course of their work.
– Assists Accounting in posting SCOs for accurate monthly billings.
– Helps with pay apps to create backup documents as needed and assist with monthly billings.
– Proficient in Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel; basic computer abilities.
– Exhibits basic Bluebeam skills, such as markups, stamping, and hyperlinking.
– Exhibits a fundamental knowledge and grasp of BIM 360 Field and how it improves QA/QC effectiveness.
– Uses the change management module and runs frequently used change management reports to demonstrate knowledge of the cost management system (CMiC or similar software)
– Produces and formats unique word processing and spreadsheet documents according to the task’s demands.
– Proficient in iBuild, with a solid grasp of workflows and the ability to modify workflow for use in specific projects.
– Shows an awareness of the intended purpose of each SmartApp and the ability to choose the best SmartApps to use on a project.
– Proficient with Procore, including RFIs, submittals, transmittals, drawings, specifications, reports, meetings, and directories, among other things.
– Skilled in using other construction tools, including Microsoft Office, Smart Bid, Building Connected, Textura, Trirega, Compass, Autodesk BIM 360, Bluebeam Revu, Trirega, and Ariba
– Keeps files and documents organized so that information is organized and available to project staff at all times.
– Meets deadlines planned for new work.
– Works with others to coordinate activities and conducts follow-up as necessary to satisfy project requirements.
